Paranormal Fail

'Paranormal' Videos

There are numerous videos of supposed ghosts, spirits, and other paranormal phenomena on the Web. Most are hoaxes or common environmental phenomena that decidedly are not paranormal. Don't be fooled.
Buzzing Ghost

This 'ghost' story was picked up by local and national media. Who would've thought that a small bug on the lens of a surveillance camera could have created such a paranormal buzz.

Ghost Wearing Sneakers?

Did Scy Fy's "Ghost Hunters' try and put one over on the public with this video of a spirit haunting Eastern State Penitentiary. The video clearly shows what looks like someone wearing a hooded robe and sneakers.

Really Weird Pictures

Weird and scary? Sure. Wildly entertaining? You bet! But this collection of strange animals, prehistoric creatures, and aliens are all fake.

Waverly Hills Hoax

The infamous Waverly Hills Sanitorium near Louisville, KY is probably one of the most haunted places in the United States. Too bad that a team of ghost hunters feels they have to resort to a badly staged hoaxed video in an apparent attempt to make themselves look better. FAILED!!!

Fake Collar Tug

I don't mean to pick on Scy Fy's "Ghost Hunters". Heck, I loved the show when it first came out and feel that they have captured some legitimate evidence over the years. But, if you are going to represent yourself as a professional, you should avoid such obvious hoaxing attempts as this fake collar tug televised on their live Halloween special in 2008. FAILED!

Hampton Court Ghost

This video--purported to be that of a ghost--was picked up by media outlets all over the world. Huh?...an 18th century ghost that knows how to operate a 20th century fire door? This is obviously a tour guide in a period costume. How can people believe this stuff? FAILED!!!

Not Paranormal

Here's a short video we put together on phenomena that is commonly misidentified as paranormal.

Haunted Pitchfork

Scy Fy's Ghost Hunters investigates The Amos J. Blake House Museum in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire. With the smell of cat urine, scotch tape holding up a "haunted" pitchfork, and a door that supposedly opens by itself, Jason, Grant, Steve, and the crew take a closer look and various phenomena reported by the museums staff.

We've investigated the location multiple times. Read our insider deconstruction of the episode. There's much more to the story....

Ghost Pictures: The Good,
The Bad, and The Ugly

This is one of the best video montages we could find and
contains many of the most popular ghost photographs on the Internet. Ranging from the possibly real to the laughably fake, take the time to practice your debunking skills and watch this entertaining video.

Ghost Hunting Conference Fail

Apparently a bunch of people got ripped off when they paid to attend a ghost hunters conference put on by a less then reputable event organizer. Too bad T.A.P.S. were supposed to be the featured presenters, kinda makes them look bad by default.

Ghost crossing Highway--NOT!

An easy debunking of one of the most famous ghost videos on the Internet. Remember, “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes."
